A while ago, I made a pledge to myself to read the work of all the writers who have won the Nobel Prize in Literature. There are over 100 of them, so this is doable in my lifetime.
It's not that I think I will one day join their ranks. I just want to learn from the masters. Right now I'm on My Name is Red, by Nobel winner Orhan Pamuk. As is the case with many things in my life, I'm not going in any particular order. Not chronology, not alphabetically. Just reading what I'm moved to read at any given time, and as I continue to read other materials.
