It's been a little while since I posted a quote (or any content at all, really) and I came across these words earlier today. Sometimes when I encounter people who seem to be without any warmth or compassion or are otherwise unkind toward me, I wonder to myself, What the f*** is their problem? And then I think about the possible tragedies or horrors they might have witnessed; what misfortune might have befallen them; what heartbreak might have been visited upon them. I also wonder what they might be facing right now.

Let's try to extend some forgiveness and grace (insofar as possible) and assume the best in others, as we would want others to do for us.
